I suggest you ...

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

If a similar idea already exists, you can support and comment on it.

If it doesn't exist, you can post your idea so others can support it.

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

  1. Execute SSRS Reports from SSIS

I would like to see the ability to Execute an SSRS report from SSIS. This way when data is loaded and successful, the reports can automatically be run and then possibly emailed to the user in one single process vs having seperate ETL and Report jobs run.

  2. TaskFactory: TF Trim Plus Transform - replicate chosen action

Add an option to apply the same chosen action across all columns. Will save MUCH time as opposed to choosing the same option for each column.

  3. Logical Grouping

Allow you to logically group a set of packages.
We have lots of packages for our ETL load and we would like to group them to see them as a whole.

  4. BI Documenter: Object comment editor (i.e. Extended Properties)

Create a tool for updating object extended properties. Most common property for SQL Object is Description but allow to add other Properties to selected objects .. e.g. Owner , ContactInfo etc.

  5. BIxPress: Deployment tool create MSI file

Have a checkbox in the deployment utility that will create a msi installation file for my packages. Very common that developers are not permitted to deploy and to have a package that can depoy all changes that can be handed to DBA would be great.

  7. Show matching packages in the deploy screen with color coding

When you display the packages in tree-view on Right hand side and left hand side, may be using COLOR coding (Red, Green,BLUE) may be helpful, and display which packages are alredy existing in Destination folder compared to SOURCE. Visual COLOR difference can be helpful. More like "WinDIff" functionality
