This is rather more complicated than it might appear, as the client application leverages the Visual Studio test framework for test results, and there is no provision for exporting those results to Excel.

Can I ask why you don't simply direct the users to the LegiTest Server to see the results? That is why it was build - to provide non-technical users access to test results.

We are looking at this for our upcoming development cycle on Task Factory.

A workaround for this is to have your test setup steps check to see if anything needs to be cleaned up first. That's a fairly common approach for automated test frameworks.

Updated by PW to include some additional filter options that might be valuable.

You can connect to an Amazon RDS SQL Server instance using standard SQL connections, thus the current components that we offer with SQL Server support should be working. If you are experiencing an issue with those, can you provide some more detail? Or is there some other functionality you are looking for?

Unfortunately, due to the way the SSIS data flow engine works, we can't work with live data in the Advanced Derived Column at design time. This would require that we execute the source components and all transforms preceding the Advanced Derived Column, and SSIS does not support that at design time.

You can test it with real data by using a Data Viewer inline in your data flow, and setting a limit on your source query.

If I've misunderstood the request, can you elaborate on it?

Could you elaborate on what connection managers you would like to see supported?

Also, please describe your scenario for dynamic database or table definitions in a little more detail. An example would help us better evaluate this request.

Thanks Marvin for using UserVoice. We will explore how to implement this component in ssis.
